FAQ

Q. Where is Michirado?

A. The land is located about 25 miles northwest of Trinidad, CO in the Spanish Peaks Wilderness Area. The actual town the land is in is Aguilar located in Las Animas County.

Q. Will there be restrooms?

A. Yes! There will be an out house built in Spring before the festival!

Q. What amenities will be provided?

A. Not much. There’s no water, housing, or really anything on the property right now. We might have a water tank set up so not everyone has to haul in quite as much water, but we’ll see how this Spring goes. We will have the out house though!

Q. What do I need to bring?

A. At a minimum you’ll need a sleeping bag , food, and water, but you will be responsible for bringing whatever you need to be comfortable in the great outdoors of Colorado.

Q. What if I don’t have any camping supplies?

A. Just send us an email and we’ll hook ya up or figure something out.

Q. What kind of weather and altitude can I expect?

A. The average high for that time of year is mid 70s, and the average low at night is mid 40s. The land is at 7,000ft, and in order to acclimate as quickly as possible, you’ll need to be drinking lots of water.

Q. Will there be music or bands?

A. There will be  musicians. Us! So, if you play anything, you should bring it. There will be plenty of camp fires and people who want to sing and play. Also, if you want to get more people together to play certain songs or whatever, just post here, on the Michirado Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/257866637729006/ contact or contact Nick Bence on Facebook.

Q. Are there any activities planned?

A. We may hike the Spanish Peaks which are close by, there may be some woodworking going on, much relaxing and I’ve even heard of some semi-organized dancing. Who knows?!  Other than that, it is a pretty open itinerary.

Q. Are there any rules?

A. Come and go as you please, just be respectful to each other and the land.

Q. Can I invite someone I know?

A. Yes! This is an open invite, so bring some friends if you like.
